The Main Line Music Appreciation Society (“MLMAS”) is a growing social community for adults who are passionate about music, eager to share music, and seek to expand their music horizon.  Unlike purely online music forums, MLMAS fosters deeper connections among music lovers in the Main Line area of suburban Philadelphia. As the spirit of MLMAS is keeping an open ear to music, the community explores a wide range of music genres. While the emphasis is on recorded music, the community maintains an active dialog on the local concert scene and encourages live music outings. 

Community Partnerships

MLMAS is developing partnerships with local businesses, including HiFi retailers, concert venues, theaters, and community centers that will host the monthly listening sessions or special events. Bryn Mawr Film Institute, which hosted our inaugural listening session, is our initial partner and has been highly supportive of our mission.  A/V specialists have the opportunity to showcase the latest audio equipment and technologies, while live music venues and theaters can access an enthusiastic customer base. Local musicians can post to the online forum on a dedicated channel to highlight new material, upcoming concerts, and any other noteworthy developments.
